Deductibles, claims, shingles and schedules: the questions Fort Worth homeowners ask Shannon most.
No. Texas House Bill 2102 (2019) made it illegal for a contractor to waive, absorb or rebate an insured’s deductible. As Romans 13:1 says, “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities.” We’ll always be upfront with you about it.
Yes. Financing a deductible is permitted under Texas law. Ask us about payment options during your inspection.
It’s vital to know the storm date and to understand roof assemblies and the true scope of the damage. Your chances of an approved claim improve with a competent contractor involved from the start. We meet the field adjuster to direct their camera and attention to the damage, and we log everything digitally with photos that support your claim. Call for a free phone consultation at (817) 808-8026 or (903) 990-6808.
Texas premiums are driven largely by your ZIP code and regional storm losses, so rates in hail-prone areas tend to rise regardless. If hail damaged your roof, a covered claim is what you’ve been paying for. Ask your agent how your specific policy handles claims.
Often, yes. We’ve helped homeowners get the adjuster back on the roof for a second look, and seen denials turn into approvals. Call us with your claim number and the adjuster’s report and we’ll take a look.
Policies require prompt notice and deadlines vary, so don’t wait. Check your policy and schedule an inspection as soon as it’s safe after the storm.
We’re the experts. Our inspection is free and includes 4K photos for your review. Warning signs include hail bruises, granule loss (look in your downspouts), cracked, curling or missing shingles, and leaks or ceiling stains.
We install Atlas, GAF, Owens Corning, IKO and Tamko. See the Shingle Hub on our Services page for details. If your home has 3-tab shingles, ask about our free upgrade to the Class 4 Atlas Pinnacle® shingle. You’ll love it.
Class 4 is the highest rating in the UL 2218 impact test, where steel balls are dropped on shingles to simulate hail. Class 4 shingles resist cracking far better than standard shingles, and some Texas insurers offer premium discounts for them. Ask your agent.
Deductibles can be high in Texas. In many cases a roof can be repaired for far less than your deductible, and we’ll tell you honestly which option makes sense, with photos to back it up.
Yes. We offer 24-hour emergency dry-in service. Call (817) 808-8026. If you decide to file a claim, emergency dry-in work is often covered as part of the loss. We’re prepared to do repairs or full replacements afterward.
It depends on the size and pitch of the roof, how many layers come off, the condition of the decking and the weather. We’ll give you a schedule before work starts, and our roof replacement page explains what affects timing.
Debris is hauled away, nails are swept, and your yard is left the way we found it, or better. As one homeowner put it: “My yard was cleaner when they left and all patio furniture was in place.”
NRS follows two laws on every roof. The first is Colossians 3:23: “whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord.” The second is the International Residential Code adopted by Texas, whose Chapter 9 covers roof assemblies.
