Is it time?

When a full replacement makes sense

Replacement is a big decision, and we don’t recommend it unless the roof needs it. These are the situations where it usually does.

  • Hail or wind damage across several slopes, not just one patch
  • Widespread granule loss, with dark, bare spots and granules in the gutters
  • Curling, cracking or brittle shingles that break when they’re lifted
  • Leaks that keep coming back in different places after repairs
  • Soft or sagging areas that point to damaged decking underneath
  • Older 3-tab shingles you’d like to upgrade to impact-resistant architectural shingles

Not sure? A free roof inspection with 4K photos will show you the condition of every slope. If a repair will do the job, we’ll tell you.

Materials

Shingles and materials we install

We install impact-resistant architectural shingles from Atlas, GAF, Owens Corning, IKO and Tamko. Architectural (also called dimensional) shingles are thicker than old flat 3-tab shingles and have a layered look that adds depth to the roof.

Class 4 impact resistance

“Class 4” is the highest rating in the UL 2218 impact test, where steel balls are dropped on shingles to simulate hail. It’s a common choice in hail-prone North Texas. If your home currently has 3-tab shingles, ask us about a free upgrade to the Class 4 Atlas Pinnacle® shingle.

Underneath the shingles

A roof is a system. Our crews install synthetic underlayment, a tear-resistant water barrier, over the deck before the shingles go on. Flashing, vents, pipe boots and ridge caps are included in the scope based on what your roof needs.

Every installation follows the International Residential Code that Texas has adopted (Chapter 9 covers roof assemblies).

The process

What to expect, start to finish

  1. Free inspection & estimate Nexgen

We document every slope with 4K photos, explain what we found, and give you a written scope.

  2. Choose your shingle

Pick the brand, line and color. We can bring samples so you can see them against your brick or stone.

  3. Insurance, if storm-related

If hail or wind caused the damage, we can meet your adjuster and help document the claim. See how we help with insurance.

  4. Tear-off & installation Nexgen

The old roof comes off down to the deck. Damaged decking is replaced, then underlayment, flashing, shingles and ridge caps go on.

  5. Cleanup & walkthrough Nexgen

Debris is hauled away, nails are swept, and we walk you through the finished roof.

Cost & timing

What affects the price and schedule

Every roof is priced after an inspection. These are the main factors:

  • Roof size and pitch. Steeper roofs take more safety equipment and time.
  • Layers to remove. More old layers mean more tear-off and disposal.
  • Decking condition. Soft or rotted sections are replaced once the old roof is off.
  • Shingle choice. Brand, line and impact rating all affect material cost.
  • Details. Valleys, chimneys, skylights and vents add labor and flashing.
  • Weather. Rain and high wind can shift the start date.

We’ll give you a schedule before work begins. We won’t promise a finish date that the weather or your roof can’t support.

My roof was removed and installed in 1 day with no issues. My yard was cleaner when they left and all patio furniture was in place.
